Book & meet
Send an enquiry, we confirm the tide window and where to meet — usually the lodge or straight at the beach.
Beach briefing
Ocean safety, reading the waves, and the pop-up drilled on the sand before you touch the water.
In the water
Your coach paddles out with you, lines you up and calls the waves. Most first-timers stand up in session one.
Review & coconut
Back on the beach for feedback, video if it's a private, and a cold coconut. Then plan the next one.

Questions, answered
Do I need to know how to swim?
Yes — comfortable swimming in open water is required. Lessons are in the ocean, and your coach needs you confident in whitewater before we paddle out.
Is there an age minimum?
Most group lessons suit ages 10+. Younger riders and family sessions are best as a private — tell us ages in the enquiry and we’ll shape the right plan.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen if you have it, and water. We supply the board, rash guard, and a post-surf coconut.
What if the waves are flat or blown out?
We reschedule free when conditions aren’t teachable. Your coach picks the tide window — if it falls apart, we move you.
Are boards and rash guards included?
Yes. Every package includes a board matched to your level, a rash guard, reef-safe sunscreen, and a certified local coach.
Can beginners go to Bingin?
Not on day one. We start at Padang Beach whitewater, then Baby Padang when you’re ready. Bingin & Impossibles are for confident surfers on private sessions.
